A special cruise with Alaska expert Fran Golden
Winter is when bookings for summer cruises to Alaska begin to fill up fast. If you are hoping to include a cruise to that magnificent state in your vacation travel plans this year, it’s time to make a reservation.
Which leads me to a personal recommendation: Consider booking a cruise led by my friend and colleague, Alaska expert Fran Golden, aboard Holland America’s Eurodam June 15-22, 2019, round trip out of Seattle.
ActiveTravels, a top agency in the Boston area that asked Fran to host this Alaskan cruise, describes the voyage: We'll board the newly refurbished Eurodam (see the latest review in Travel & Leisure) in Seattle. Then make our way up the Pacific coast with stops in Juneau, Glacier Bay, Sitka, Ketchikan, and Victoria, before arriving back in Seattle. Fran will select her favorite shore excursions along the route and provide anecdotes from her other memorable cruises.
Fran travels the world, and her work appears regularly in publications including Conde Nast Traveler, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, and the Los Angeles Times. She’s the author of two-dozen books including Frommer’s EasyGuide to Alaskan Cruises and Ports of Call (2018).
For those who don’t know me personally, I must acknowledge that Fran Golden is my wife, and I intend to join her on this voyage (but don’t let that dissuade you from booking the trip).
